Bio

Jason Dalton was hired as the assistant coach for the baseball program prior to the 2024 season and serves primarily as the Wildcat pitching coach.

Dalton played for three years at the University of South Alabama in Mobile, hurling 62 career innings. While at South Alabama, Jase appeared in 31 career games, mostly as a relief pitcher, and sported a 7-4 overall record with six saves. His most productive year came in 2021 when he appeared in 21 games for the Jaguars and went 5-3 with four saves in 37.2 innings pitched.

After his playing career was finished at South Alabama, Dalton played one season with the Chicago Dogs, an independent professional baseball team based in Rosemont, Ill., and are members of the American Association of Professional Baseball.

Dalton, who currently resides in LaGrange, Mo., with his wife, Katlyn, and their daughter, Willow, earned a bachelor's degree in exercise science from South Alabama in 2021 after gathering an associate's degree from Hinds Community College in Raymond, Miss., in 2018.
