Tough Schedule Awaits Women's Soccer Team in 2025

Culver-Stockton College women's soccer head coach Tyler Tomlinson has announced the team's 2025 schedule. The 18-game fall slate features five teams which qualified for the NAIA National Tournament, 13 Heart of America Athletic Conference matches and five non-conference matches. | COMPLETE SCHEDULE

The Wildcats begin their 15th season under Tomlinson at home on Aug. 22 against Waldorf (Iowa) University at Ellison Poulton Stadium. The Wildcats have won seven straight season-opening games and are 5-0 against the Warriors, including a 2-0 victory last season.

The Wildcats make the first of two trips to Columbia, Mo., this season on Aug. 27 to play Stephens College before closing out the month of August with a home match against Harris-Stowe (Mo.) State University. C-SC was defeated both teams last year.

C-SC begins September with a long trip to Sioux Center, Iowa, to play first-time opponent Dordt University Sept. 3 before beginning Heart of America Athletic Conference with a pair of home games.

"Our non-conference schedule might be smaller, but it is still a quality challenge," stated Tomlinson. "Adding Dordt and Columbia, as well as the three returning schools from a year ago, will test our team and prepare us for our conference slate."

After hosting William Penn (Iowa) on Sept. 6 and Park (Mo.) Sept. 10, respectively, the Wildcats get a taste of the new-look Heart on Sept. 13 when it plays league-newcomer Missouri Baptist University in St. Louis. Missouri Baptist and William Woods (Mo.) University, formally of the American Midwest Conference, have officially joined the Heart for the 2025-26 school year.

"The Heart did a great job expanding and we are ready for a couple of new conference, but familiar foes," said Tomlinson. "Missouri Baptist and William Woods will only make the task of earning a postseason berth even tougher, but our players are looking forward to the challenge."

C-SC begins a stretch of playing five of its next seven games on the road with a home game with Mount Mercy (Iowa) Sept. 17. The Wildcats then face Missouri Valley and Grand View (Iowa) on the road Sept. 20 and Sept. 24, respectively, before returning home Sept. 27 to face defending Heart champion Central Methodist (Mo.).

After facing the Eagles, C-SC opens October with three straight road contests starting with a non-conference match at Columbia (Mo.) Oct. 1 and then finishing with games at Baker (Kan.) Oct. 4 and MidAmerica Nazarene (Kan.) Oct. 11. Missouri Valley, Central Methodist, Columbia and MidAmerica Nazarene were all national tournament qualifiers last season.

The Wildcats begin a three-game homestand with a match against Graceland (Iowa) Oct. 15 before hosting Benedictine (Kan.) Oct. 18. The Ravens also qualified for the national tournament in 2024.

C-SC ends the homestand by celebrating homecoming and senior night on Friday, Oct. 24, against William Woods University before concluding the 2025 campaign at Clarke University Oct. 29 in Dubuque, Iowa.

The Wildcats return seven starters from last year's team that finished 10-7-2 overall and 4-6-1 in the Heart. C-SC fell to top-seeded Central Methodist University 1-0 in the conference tournament quarterfinals.
