Men's Basketball Struggles Continue with Road Loss at Benedictine
The Culver-Stockton men's basketball team led for nearly 13 minutes in the first half but a 16-6 run by Benedictine over the final seven minutes of the half led to a 74-56 loss for the Wildcats Wednesday night in Atchison, Kan.
The Wildcats scored the first six points of the game and eventually led 18-17 with 7:24 remaining in the first half when the Ravens began their 10-point run to end the opening half.
C-SC closed to within 33-28 early in the second half, however, that is as close as the Wildcats would get for the rest of the game.
Damar Jenkins continues to play well, leading the Wildcats with 16 points. Damont Hanton contributed 11 markers while Travis Green III and Kamren Wires totaled eight points each.
The Wildcats return home this Saturday, Feb. 11, to face MidAmerica Nazarene University at Charles Field House. Game time is set for 4 p.m.
