Gnade Registers Double-Double on First Day of HOA Challenge

The Culver-Stockton College men's volleyball team had two players record double figures in kills in a 19-25, 25-23, 25-21, 25-16 loss to Saint Ambrose University in its opening match in the Heart of America Challenge Friday night at Missouri Baptist University in St. Louis.

Clyde Harold totaled 12 kills to lead the Wildcats at the net. Harold registered a .296 attack percentage with four errors on 27 attempts.Harold added three digs and two block assists.

Malachi Gnade garnered a double with 11 kills and a team-best 11 digs. Gnade had an attack percentage of .276. Overall, the Wildcat had a team attack percentage of .229 with 48 kills with 23 errors on 109 attempts.

Owen Randle and Matt Reese combined for 41 of the 47 set assists with Randle dishing out 25 assists. Randle also had seven digs and a service ace. 

The Wildcats continue play in the Challenge Saturday, Feb. 1, at the University of Health Sciences and Pharmacy with two matches. C-SC is slated to play Brescia (Ky.) at noon and Governor's State (Ill.) at 2 p.m.
