CJ Adams Named Student-Athlete of the Month for December

Culver-Stockton College senior CJ Adams has been named the Missouri National Guard Student Athlete of the Month for December.

Adams, a 6-foot-2 guard from Jackson, Mich. (Napoleon HS / Jackson CC), is a two-year letterwinner with the men's basketball team. In his career, he has appeared in 51games to date, scoring 432 points (8.5 ppg), grabbing 339 rebounds (6.6 rpg), dishing out 168 assists (3.3 apg) and recording 78 steals (1.5 spg). This season, Adams has started all 19 games played by the 11th-ranked Wildcats this season, averaging 10.5 points, 4.9 rebounds and 3.8 assists per game. During the 2012-13 campaign, Adams was named the Heart of America Athletic Conference (HAAC) Defensive Player of the Year and was a member of the all-conference team as an honorable mention selection.

Off the court, Adams is a criminal justice major with a minor in sociology. In three full semesters on the Hill, he has been named to the dean's list two times and the honor roll one time. Adams has also been nominated for the Capital One Academic All-America honors and NAIA Scholar-Athlete honors.
