Graduation Rate Survey
If you are a student-athlete preparing to enter college, it is important to know the graduation rate of the college that you will be attending. Below is a summary of the graduation rate survey for Culver-Stockton College that identifies the 2015 cohort or freshman class of full-time, first-time, degree seeking undergraduates and student athletes that received athletic financial aid.
The report is provided as an Adobe® Acrobat® PDF document and can be viewed using the Adobe® Reader®. (You can download this free reader at www.adobe.com.) The report indicates six-year graduation rates, as well as individual rates by sport. The following is information that you should be aware of when interpreting the report:
- Students are reported in only one athletic sport. For example, if they play football and baseball they are only reported in football. The National Center for Educational Statistics (NCES) has provided the hierarchy to use - football, basketball, baseball, and other sports.
- Only students who receive athletic financial aid are reported. In other words, if they did not receive a scholarship from football and were listed on the team, they are not included on this report.
- Only first-time freshmen are included on this report. Transfers are not included anywhere.
- Other sports are a combination of men's and women's soccer, men's and women's golf, men's and women's volleyball, softball, men's and women's cross country, men's and women's indoor track and field, men's and women's outdoor track and field, men's and women's bowling.
- The graduation rate does not consider when a student does not play after the initial cohort year. For example, if a football player enters as a freshman, becomes injured and does not play the remainder of his college years, he is still included in the graduation rate calculation.
