Randi Lee Plunkett Named Student-Athlete of the Month for December

Culver-Stockton College junior guard Randi Lee Plunkett has been named the Missouri National Guard Student Athlete of the Month for December.

Plunkett, an elementary education major from Philadelphia, Mo. (Marion County HS) has been a solid performer for the women's basketball team for three years on the Hill. She has started every game of her career, 71 in all, and scored 782 career points, an average of 11 points per game. Plunkett was named the Heart of America Athletic Conference Freshman of the Year after the 2012-13 campaign, and was named to the All-HAAC third team after the 2013-14 season.

This year, Plunkett leads the Wildcats in scoring, averaging 11.2 points for a team that is 13-4 overall and 5-2 in the HAAC. She is third in rebounding, averaging 5.2 caroms per game, and third in assists, averaging 2.2 per game. Plunkett is also shooting 49.7 percent from the field and 37.5 percent from the 3-point arc.

Off the court, Plunkett has been named to the President's List two times and the dean's list three times in five semesters at Culver-Stockton. She is in the Culver-Stockton Honors Program, and is a member of the Culver-Stockton Teacher's Organization (C-STO) and the Chi Omega sorority.
