Dominic Caruso Named September's Student-Athlete of the Month

Culver-Stockton College senior forward Dominic Caruso has been named the Primo's Pizza and Subs Student Athlete of the Month for September.

Caruso, an athletic training major from St. Louis, Mo. (Affton HS) has played in 61 career games to date for the Wildcats over the last four seasons. He has recorded 18 career goals and four career assists for 40 career points. He also has four career game-winning goals.

This season, Caruso has played in all 12 games for the Wildcats, netting seven goals and one assist for 15 total points. The seven goals are second-most on the team. He has two game-winning goals this season.

Off the field, Caruso, is a member of the Student Athletic Training Organization (SATO) where he serves as the secretary. He is also member of Lambda Chi Alpha social fraternity. Caruso was named a NAIA Scholar-Athlete after the 2014 soccer season. To be named a NAIA Scholar-Athlete, a student must have a cumulative 3.50 grade point average on a 4.0 scale. Upon graduation in May, Caruso plans to continue his studies by pursuing a master's degree in kinesiology or attending physical therapy school.
