Alejandro Mentasti Named Student-Athlete of the Month for October

Culver-Stockton College forward Alejandro Mentasti has been named the Primo's Pizza and Subs Student Athlete of the Month for October.

Mentasti, a senior from Buenos Aires, Argentina (ISEF), is a two-year member of the men's soccer team. He has recorded 19 career goals, which ranks seventh on the school's all-time list, and seven career assists. Mentasti's 45 career points ranks eighth on the school's all-time list. He has tallied five game-winning goals in his career.

This season, Mentasti has netted a team-high 13 goals, which is just one shy of the school record for most goals in a single season. That record is held by C.B. Kuzlik and Luke Schneider, who did it in 1994 and 1998, respectively. He also has two assists and three game-winning goals.

Off the field, Mentasti is pursuing a degree in physical education with a minor in psychology and health. He has been named to the President's List (4.0 GPA) in each of his two completed semesters on the Hill. Mentasti is also a member of the Alpha Chi National Honor Society.

Mentasti is the second Primo's Student-Athlete of the Month for the 2016-17 school year, joining Kira McGrotty who was named in September.
