Kehley Bitzas Named Primo's Pizza and Subs Student-Athlete of the Month

Culver-Stockton College junior goalkeeper Kehley Bitzas has been named the Primo's Pizza and Subs Student Athlete of the Month for October.

Bitzas, a junior from Greenvale, Australia (Ivanhoe Grammar School), is a three-year starter for women's soccer team. Bitzas has played in 49 career matches, covering 4,436:57 minutes. She set a school record with her 18th career shutout in the Wildcats' 2-0 victory over Mount Mercy Oct. 30, and she has allowed 52 goals, a 1.08 career goals against average. Bitzas has 201 career saves, which ranks fifth on the school's all-time list. She has been named the conference defensive player of the week three times in her career.

This season, Bitzas has played in all 19 matches to date and has registered a 0.77 goals against average in 1,757:31 minutes The 0.77 goals against average is ranked third in the Heart of America Athletic Conference, and her 79 saves this season is ranked fourth in the Heart. In addition, Bitzas has seven shutouts this season, which is tied for the league lead with two other goalkeepers. She was recently named the all-conference first team goalkeeper for the 2018 season.

Off the field, Bitzas is pursuing a degree in Psychology/occupational therapy. She has been named to the President's List four times during her stay on the Hill. In addition, Bitzas is a member of the Psychology Club and Pre-Occupational Therapy Club. She was also inducted into the Phi Eta Sigma Freshman Honor Society in the spring of 2017.

Bitzas is the second Primo's Student-Athlete of the Month for the 2018-19 school year. Gabby Hickman (women's volleyball) was honored in September.
