Carly Harper Named Primo's Student-Athlete of the Month

Culver-Stockton College guard Carly Harper has been named the Primo's Pizza and Subs Student Athlete of the Month for January.

Harper, a 5-foot-8 junior from Foristell, Mo. (Francis Howell HS), is a three-year starter for the women's basketball team. She has twice been named to the Heart of America Athletic Conference All-Conference team as an honorable mention selection. This season, Harper has played in 23 games, averaging 8.2 points, 5.1 rebounds, two assists and 1.3 steals per game.

In her career, Harper has started 80 of the 82 games she has appeared in. She has scored 752 career points (9.2 ppg), grabbed 445 rebounds (5.4 rpg) and dished out 182 assists (1.7 apg). In addition, she had drained 104 career 3-pointers, which ranks ninth on the school's all-time list.

Off the court, Harper is pursuing a degree in Secondary English Education. In five completed semesters, Harper has been named to the President's List one time, the Dean's List four times. In addition, Harper is a member of the Phi Eta Sigma freshman honor society and the Culver-Stockton College Teacher's Organization.

Harper is the fifth Primo's Student-Athlete of the Month for the 2018-19 school year. Gabby Hickman (women's volleyball), Kehley Bitzas (women's soccer) and Alex Gonzalez (football) were honored in September, October and November, respectively. Mike Johnson (men's basketball) was honored in December.
