Brody Hassel Named First Student-Athlete of the Month for 2019-20

Culver-Stockton College wide receiver Brody Hassel has been named the Primo's Pizza and Subs Student Athlete of the Month for September.

Hassel, a junior from Seminole, Fla. (Seminole HS) is a three-year member of the football team. After playing defensive back his first two seasons, Hassel moved to the other side of the ball this year and has caught 22 passes for a team-leading 306 yards and four touchdowns. He is averaging 13.9 yards per reception and 76.5 yards per game, which ranks fourth in the Heart of America Athletic Conference.

As a defensive back the previous two years, Hassel recorded 71 total tackles, including 39 solo stops, in his career. He also registered 1.5 tackles for loss and had one pass defended.

Off the field, Hassel is pursuing a degree in sports communication with a minor in sport management. In addition to football, Hassel also participates on the E-sports team, serves as a campus tour guide, and works other various jobs around campus.

Hassel is the first Primo's Student-Athlete of the Month for the 2019-20 school year.
