Dooley Named Student-Athlete of the Month for February

Culver-Stockton College women's basketball standout Ryan Dooley has been named the Primo's Pizza and Subs Student Athlete of the Month for February.

Dooley, a senior guard from Assumption, Ill. (Moweaqua Central A&M HS / Parkland College) is a two-year member of the women's basketball team. Dooley appeared in all 31 games for the Wildcats this season, averaging a team-best 16 points, 4.1 assists and 2.4 steals per game. She also 3.9 rebounds and 0.5 blocks per contest. Dooley leads the Heart of America Athletic Conference in free throw percentage at 85.6 percent. Her 74 3-pointers this season eclipsed the school record of 71 set by Cassie Kinnamon in 1998. Dooley has 135 career 3-pointers, which is tied for second in school history. Dooley scored a career-high 29 points against Graceland University earlier this season at Charles Field House

In her two seasons on the Hill, Dooley has scored 914 points in 64 career games, averaging 14.3 points per game. She also averaged 4.4 rebounds, 3.8 assists and 2.2 steals in her career. Dooley has shot 37.9 percent from the field, 36.1 percent from beyond the 3-point arc and 83.4 percent from the free throw line. Dooley is two-time all-conference player, earning first team honors in 2020.

Off the court, Dooley is pursuing a degree in elementary education and a minor in special education and child advocacy. She has been named to the Dean's List two semesters and the Honor Roll one semester. Dooley is a member of the Culver-Stockton Teacher's Organization.

Dooley is the sixth Primo's Student-Athlete of the Month for the 2019-20 school year. Brody Hassel (football) was named the September honoree while Shelby Winn (women's soccer) was named in October and Agustin Mosquera (men's soccer) was the November honoree. Thaddeus Newby (men's basketball) was honored in December and Alan Leyva (men's track and field) was selected in January.
