Holder Named Primo's Student-Athlete of the Month for March

Culver-Stockton College men's track and field standout Tyrin Holder has been named the Primo's Pizza and Subs Student Athlete of the Month for March.

Holder, a junior sprinter from Collins, Ga. (Tattnall County HS) is a three-year member of the men's track and field team. During the 2019-20 indoor season, Holder primarily ran the 200 and 400-meter dashes for the Wildcats. He finished first or second in the 200 six times, including a school record with a time of 22.07 seconds. Holder finished first in the 400 two times and third on time during the season. He set a school record in that event with a time of 49.43 seconds at the Heart of America Athletic Conference Indoor Championships. In addition, Holder also ran the 60-meter dash times during the season and finished eighth at the conference event.

Off the track, Holder is pursuing a degree in physical education. He has been named to the Dean's List two semesters and the Honor Roll one semester. Holder works as a tour guide in the admissions office, giving tours of the campus to prospective students.

Holder is the seventh Primo's Student-Athlete of the Month for the 2019-20 school year. Brody Hassel (football) was named the September honoree while Shelby Winn (women's soccer) was named in October and Agustin Mosquera (men's soccer) was the November honoree. Thaddeus Newby (men's basketball) was honored in December, Alan Leyva (men's track and field) was selected in January and Ryan Dooley (women's basketball) was named in February.
