
Ellis, Dreher Named Student-Athletes of the Month for September
Culver-Stockton College midfielder Jody Ellis and linebacker Nolan Dreher have been named the Primo's Pizza and Subs Student-Athletes of the Month for September.
Ellis, a senior from Troy, Ill. (Triad HS) is a four-year member of the women's soccer team who has played in all nine games for the Wildcats this season. She leads the team in goals (4), assists (4) and points (12).
Ellis has been named to the Heart of America Athletic Conference all-conference team, earning third team honors as a sophomore and second team accolades as a junior. As a freshman, Ellis recorded 10 assists, which was one off the single season record of 11, and then she garnered eight assists as a sophomore.
In her career, Ellis has appeared in 57 games to date and has scored 13 goals and registered 24 assists for 50 career points. Ellis is currently second on the school's all-time list in assists and needs 10 more to break the all-time mark of 33 assists. She is 10th on the all-time list in goals.
Off the field, Ellis is a health science major who has been named to a Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athlete in 2020 and 2021. Last year, Ellis was named a NAIA All-America Scholar-Athlete and to the North Central Scholar-All-Region team by the United Soccer Coaches, the world's largest soccer coaches' organization that serves members at every level of the game.
Dreher, a senior from Midlothian, Ill. (Bremen HS), is a four-year player for the Wildcats who has four tackles, 0.5 tackles for loss and one pass defended during the current season. In his career, Dreher has recorded 15 total tackles, including seven solo stops, 0.5 tackles for loss, one pass defended and has one fumble recovery.
Off the field, Dreher is a health science major who is a two-time Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athlete for his work in the classroom. Dreher has been named to the President's List and the Dean's List during his time on the Hill.
Ellis and Dreher are the first Primo's Student-Athletes of the Month for the 2021-22 school year.
