Green, French Named Student-Athletes of the Month for December

Culver-Stockton College forward Taylor Green and distance runner Josh French have been named the Primo's Pizza and Subs Student-Athletes of the Month for December.

Green, a senior from San Antonio, Texas (Smithson Valley HS), is a four-year letterwinner with the women's basketball program. To date, Green has appeared in 91 career games (55 starts), averaging 6.2 points and 3.9 rebounds per game. She has attempted 514 shots, recording 232 field goals in her career for a .451 percentage. This season, Green is shooting a career-best .542 (58-107) from the field. During the current season, Green is averaging 8.9 points and 4.1 rebounds per game.

Off the court, Green is a health science major who has been named to the school's Dean's List two semesters and the Honor Roll four semesters during her tenure on the Hill. In 2020-21, Taylor was named a Heart of America Athletic Conference Scholar-Athlete.

French, a senior from Canton, Mo. (Highland HS), is a four-year member of the Wildcat men's cross country and track and field programs. He has raced in 11 career cross country events, posting a career-best time of 31:28 at the NAIA Seminole Valley Stampede in October 2020.

On the track, French has participated in the mile run during the indoor season and the 1,500-meter run during the outdoor season. His best time in the 1,500 is 4:47.69, which is the seventh best time in school history. Josh's best time in the mile is 5:21.57 at the Jim Green Invitational in 2020.

In the classroom, Josh pursuing a physical education degree. He has been named to the Dean's List five times and the Honor Roll one time. Josh has also been honored as a Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athlete in 2020 and 2021.

Green and French are the fourth pair of Primo's Student-Athletes of the Month for the 2021-22 school year, joining Jody Ellis (women's soccer) and Nolan Dreher (football) who were recognized in September, Sopheea Vomund and Dax Flowerree, who were named in October, and Montse Caparros (women's soccer) and Harrison Fey (men's soccer), who were lauded in November.
