Thompson, Hall Named April's Student-Athletes of the Month

Culver-Stockton College softball player Alle Thompson and baseball player Collin Hall have been named the Primo's Pizza and Subs Student-Athletes of the Month for April.

Thompson, a junior infielder from Des Moines, Iowa (Saydel HS), is a three-year starter for the Wildcat softball team. Thompson registered team highs in batting average (.374), hits (46), runs (28), doubles (13), home runs (9) and runs batted in (41) during the regular season. She slugged .715, recorded a .431 on-base percentage, was issued 12 walks, and stole two bases. Thompson was named to the Heart of America Athletic Conference team as an honorable mention selection after the 2021 season.

In her career, Thompson has appeared in 101 career games and has a .328 career batting average. She has totaled 96 career hits with 20 doubles, two triples and 22 home runs. In addition, she has 77 career runs batted in.

Thompson, a criminal justice major, was named a Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athlete for the 2020-21 school year. She has been named to the President's List after the Fall 2019 and Spring 2021 semesters, and the Dean's List after the Fall 2020, Spring 2020 and Fall 2021 semesters.

Hall, a junior catcher from Ocoee, Fla. (Ocoee HS), appeared in 42 of the 46 games this season and led the team with a .410 batting average. He tallied 55 hits, including a team-high 13 doubles, and had eight home runs. Hall also led the Wildcats with 50 runs batted in. In addition, Hall slugged .687 and had a .491 on-base percentage.

In his career, Hall has 66 career hits with 15 doubles and 56 runs batted in. He has played in 55 of a possible 100 games the last two seasons.

Hall, a health science major, was named a 2020-21 Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athlete. He has been named to the President's List after the Fall 2020 semester, the Dean's List after the Spring 2021 semester and the Honor Roll after the Fall 2019, Spring 2020, and Fall 2021 semesters.

Thompson and Hall are the final pair of Primo's Student-Athletes of the Month for the 2021-22 school year, joining Jody Ellis (women's soccer) and Nolan Dreher (football) who were recognized in September, Sopheea Vomund and Dax Flowerree, who were named in October, and Montse Caparros (women's soccer) and Harrison Fey (men's soccer), who were lauded in November; and Taylor Green (women's basketball) and Josh French (men's cross country/track and field) who were acknowledged in December.

Also honored this year were Carlee Hummel (women's bowling) and David Hernandez (football) who were recognized in January, and Alyssa Baltimore (women's track and field) and Akeel Oxley (men's volleyball) were honored in February, while Julieta Hernandez (women's lacrosse) and Michael Velasco (football) were recognized in March.

To be considered for the Primo's Student-Athlete of the Month, students must maintain a 3.25 cumulative grade point average and must be at least a sophomore or complete one full year as a transfer student.
