Iacobellis, Coon Named Primo's Student-Athletes of the Month for September

Culver-Stockton College women's soccer player Rachel Iacobellis and men's golfer Cade Coon have been named the Primo's Pizza and Subs Student-Athletes of the Month for September.

Iacobellis, a senior forward from Corona, Calif. (Centennial HS) is a four-year member of the women's soccer team who transitioned to forward this season after playing mainly as a defender in her previous three years. Iacobellis has scored a team-high nine goals and added one assist for a team-best 19 points this season.  

In her career, Iacobellis has appeared in 54 games to date and has scored 10 goals and registered two assists for 22 career points.

Off the field, Iacobellis is pursuing a degree in nursing and has been named to the Provost's List every semester during her tenure at C-SC. She is a two-time Daktronics-NAIA and Heart of America Athletic Conference Scholar-Athlete.

Coon, a junior from Groveland, Ill. (Morton HS), is a three-year player on the links for the Wildcats. He has played nine competitive rounds this season and has recorded a stroke average of 79.4. Coon has shot 79 or lower in three of his nine rounds this year.

In his career, Coon has played 45 competitive rounds and registered a stroke average of 81.5. He has nine rounds where he shot 79 or lower with his career-best being a 71 in the first round of the Quincy (Ill.) Invitational last spring.

Off the course, Coon is a majoring in sport management who has been named to the President's List in each of his four completed semesters on the Hill. He has also been named a Heart of America Athletic Conference and a Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athlete  

Iacobellis and Coon are the first Primo's Student-Athletes of the Month for the 2022-23 school year.
