Culver-Stockton College women's volleyball player Veiauna Herman and men's bowler Gavin Moeller have been named the Primo's Pizza and Subs Student-Athletes of the Month for October.

Herman, a senior libero from Springfield, Ill. (Lutheran HS), is a four-year member of the women's volleyball team who played in 75 matches and 273 sets during her career. In 2022, Herman finished 13^th in the Heart in total digs with 401 and 14^th in the Heart in digs per set (3.78). She was second on the team with 30 service aces and second on the team with 522 serve receptions, registering 93.3 percent success rate on return of serve. For her efforts, Herman was recently named to the Heart of America Athletic Conference all—conference team as an honorable mention selection.  

In her career, Herman topped the 1,000-dig plateau and finished with 1,068 career digs. She also ended her career with 51 career service aces.

Off the court, Herman is pursuing a degree in biological chemistry and has been named to the Provost's List once and the Honor Roll three semesters. She is a member of the Tri Beta Biological Honor Society.  

Moeller, a sophomore from Donnellson, Iowa (Central Lee HS), is in his second season as one of the Wildcats' top bowlers. During his freshman season, Moeller bowled in 47 games and finished with an average of 189. He registered one top 10 and two top 25 finishes in his inaugural season. He averaged over 200 pins twice during his freshman season, rolling an average of 209 at the Clarke Invitational, and a 204 at the Mid-States Championships.

Moeller is off to a solid start to his sophomore campaign, recording an average of 182 through the first four events. He averaged 190 pins at the Midwest Collegiate Championships in October.

Outside the lanes, Moeller is majoring in finance  

Herman and Moeller are the second Primo's Student-Athletes of the Month for the 2022-23 school year. Rachel Iacobellis (women's soccer) and Cade Coon (men's golf) were honored in September.
