Felt, Fay Named Final Student-Athlete's of the Month for 2022-23

Culver-Stockton College softball player Katelyn Felt, and baseball player Andrew Fay have been named Primo's Pizza and Subs Student-Athletes of the Month for April.

Felt, a senior outfielder from Waukee, Iowa (Waukee HS), is a four-year member of the softball program. Felt has appeared in 46 of the 50 games this season and has registered a .306 batting average with 41 hits in 134 at-bats. She has scored 23 runs, recorded nine doubles, one triple and 16 runs batted in. Felt has been issued 12 walks and is second on the team with nine stolen bases.

In her career, Felt has batted .313 with 16 doubles, four triples and 31 runs batted in. She has scored 69 career runs, stolen 14 career bases, and has 12 sacrifices, including nine sacrifice bunts. Felt was honored by the Heart of America Athletic Conference as an honorable mention selection in 2022.   

Off the field, Katelyn is majoring in biological chemistry with a minor in business. She has been named to the President's List six times and the Provost's List 1 time during her tenure on the Hill. She has been named to the Phi Eta Sigma National Freshman Honor Society and the Tri-Beta Biology Honor Society as well as twice being named a Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athlete and is nominated for a third time this season.

Fay, a senior outfielder from Dardenne Prairie, Mo. (Liberty HS / John Wood CC), is a two-year player with the Wildcat baseball program. Fay started all 93 games that he played in during his two-year stint with the Wildcats. He garnered a .307 career batting average with 95 hits in 309 at-bats. In addition, Fay totaled 19 doubles, eight triples and 14 home runs while registering 53 runs batted in during his career. Last season, Fay hit .364 with 12 doubles, eight triples and eight home runs. He also scored 48 runs and stole four bases while being named to the All-Heart of America Athletic Conference second team.

In addition, Fay has also pitched during his career, making 23 pitching appearances with eight starts. Fay has pitched 58 2/3 innings and registered seven career saves.  

Off the field, Fay is pursuing a degree in marketing and was named to the Provost's List in the fall of 2023.

Felt and Fay are the final Primo's Student-Athletes of the Month for the 2022-23 school year. Rachel Iacobellis (women's soccer) and Cade Coon (men's golf) were honored in September while Veiauna Herman (women's volleyball) and Gavin Moeller (men's bowling) were recognized in October. Kirstin Jannin (women's soccer) and Adam Fowler (men's soccer) were November's recipients while Aaliyah Ortiz (women's basketball) and Dominic Herrera (football) were December's honorees. Katie Webb (women's basketball) and Sean Cleary (men's track and field) were lauded in January. Elaysia Rasmussen and Ryan Moore were honored for February while Melanie Sanchez and Jacob Todd were recognized in March.
