Eight Wildcat Baseball Players Named Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athletes

The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) released the 2024 Daktronics NAIA Baseball Scholar-Athletes on Thursday. Bryan (Tenn.) paced the nation with 22 honorees, followed by 19 from Midway (Ky.), 18 from Union (Ky.) and 17 from Indiana Tech. 

Culver-Stockton College had eight student-athletes honored. Named to the list was junior pitcher Anthony Ribes, senior pitcher Braden Taylor, senior pitcher Davin Meier, senior infielder Eli Friend, and junior infielder Kannon Kirk. Also named were senior pitcher Nicolas Goebert, junior outfielder Noah Dykzeul, and sophomore infielder Ryan Osso. Ribes, Taylor and Kirk were all named for the second consecutive season.

The 2024 list features over 1,300 student-athletes from 165 teams who achieved at least a 3.5 cumulative grade point average (GPA) at their institution. To be nominated by an institution's head coach or sports information director, a student-athlete must maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale; appear on the eligibility certificate for the sport, and have attended one full year at said institution.
