Grand View University scored easy and often against the Culver-Stockton baseball team in sweeping a Heart of America Athletic Conference doubleheader and winning the four-game series 3-1 Tuesday afternoon in Des Moines, Iowa.

The Vikings raced out to a 7-0 lead after three innings in the first game and never looked back in a 14-4 victory. IN game two, Grand View scored in every inning but the fourth in rolling to a 14-1 decision to claim the series.

The Wildcats were limited to six hits in the opener with Bryan Barreto and Jeremiah Morris collecting two hits each. Morris, who homered in the Wildcats' 7-6 victory over the Vikings, had a solo home run among his two hits. Kannon Kirk and Jordan Scott also drove in runs for the Wildcats.

In game two, C-SC was held to seven hits overall and didn't score its only run until the final inning. Noble Oxford, who had three hits in the game, drove in the Wildcats' only run with a double in the seventh inning.

The Wildcats are scheduled to return to action this weekend, Saturday and Sunday, April 12-13, for a four-game series at Clarke University in Dubuque, Iowa. The first each day is slated for 1 p.m.
