Bio

Brad Gyorkos was named head coach of the Wildcat baseball program on Octoer 23, 2019.

Gyorkos has guided the Wildcat program for four seasons, including the 2020 season whuich was cut short due to the Covid-19 pandemic. During his time on the Hill, Gyorkos has had eight players garner all-conference honors from the Heart of America Atheltic Conference, two have won Gold Gloves at their resepctive positions, and 21 players have been tabbed as Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athletes.  

Prior returning to his alma mater, Gyorkos spent three years with the baseball program at Salem University in Clarksburg, W. Va., including two seasons as an assistant coach.

Gyorkos aided the Tigers in their culture change, as he played a significant role in recruiting and a major role in the 2018 season guiding Salem to its best NCAA win percentage in program history at .542 (19-16-1).   

Prior to Salem, Gyorkos was an assistant coach at Rock Valley College in Rockford, Illinois during the 2015-16 season, where he worked primarily with infielders and served as the team's first base coach.

Gyorkos played college baseball at Culver-Stockton College from 2013-15, where he was an infielder. Gyorkos played his first two seasons as a second baseman for Rock Valley from 2011-13, where he also served as team captain.
 
A native of Rockford, Illinois, Gyorkos received his bachelor's degree from Culver-Stockton in sport management in 2015 and his master's degree in sport and recreation from Salem in 2017. He earned his associate degree from Rock Valley in 2013.
