Dance to be Reinstated as Intercollegiate Sport; Frese Named Coach

Culver-Stockton College Director of Athletics Pat Atwell has announced dance has been reinstated as an intercollegiate sport. The dance team, which will comprise both men and women, will be the College's 20th intercollegiate sport.

"We are enthusiastic about this opportunity for prospective students at Culver-Stockton and feel it will have an immediate impact on our culture," said Atwell.

Additionally, Atwell named Tiffany Frese as head coach of the program.

"Finding the right coach was critical in our decision to re-instate dance and we are pleased to have Tiffany join our staff," Atwell added. "She is a dynamic leader who will fuel a high level of excellence with our dance program and positively enhance our department."

Frese is the owner of Q Dance Inc., of Quincy, Ill. As instructor at Q Dance, Frese's company has earned national winning titles and numerous choreography awards at the national level. She provides individual and group instruction, choreographs several national title dances and provides entertainment for many community fundraisers and events.

Frese earned her bachelor's degree in education with an emphasis in special education from Culver-Stockton College. She obtained her master's degree in administration from William Woods University in Fulton, Mo. In addition to teaching dance, Frese was previously employed as a teacher by the Quincy (Ill.) Public Schools prior to opening her studio full-time.

Recruiting for Culver-Stockton's new dance team will begin immediately as they will join the Department in the fall of 2019. If interested, please click here.
