Maurice Silas Selected to Lead Wildcat Dance Program

Culver-Stockton College Director of Athletics Pat Atwell has announced that Maurice Silas has been hired as the new dance coordinator for the Wildcats. Silas replaces Amanda Tuley, who resigned after three seasons with the program.

A 2022 graduate of Culver-Stockton College, Maurice had four years of collegiate experience as a passionate and powerful dancer first at Graceland University in Lamoni, Iowa, in 2018-19 before transferring to Culver-Stockton where he performed from 2020-2022. Upon graduation, Maurice served as a dance instructor at The Beats Arts Academy in Quincy, Ill., under the direction of Shawn Jones. While there, Maurice choreographed dance routines and taught technique classes.

During his time on the Hill, Maurice was involved with many activities throughout campus. In addition to the dance team, Maurice was a member of the Wildcat track and field team and served as the first drum major for the Culver-Stockton College Thrill of the Hill Marching Band.
