The Heart of America Athletic Conference made history on Thursday, as the conference announced its first-ever Heart Esports League of Legends All-Conference teams and Player of the Year.

The 2023 Heart Esports League of Legends Player of the Year was awarded to Zackery Fritz of Park University.

Fritz and the Pirates went 3-2 in the regular season and qualified for the first-ever 2023 Heart Esports League of Legends Conference Tournament, which will be held on the campus of Park University on Saturday, October 28.

The Pirates earned the No. 4 seed for the upcoming tournament and defeated No. 1 seed, Grand View University in the final game of the regular season on October 12.

The Heart Conference Tournament will begin at 11 am with the first semifinal matchup between No. 1 Grand View taking on No. 4 Park and at 2 pm the other semifinal with pin No. 2 St. Ambrose facing off against No. 3 Culver-Stockton. Each game will be a best of three series.

The Heart Championship game will feature the two winners from the semifinals and will begin at 5 pm. Fans can watch all three games on the official Heart Twitch Channel, by clicking here.

The Heart League of Legends All-Conference teams consist of five First Team All-Conference selections and five Second Team All-Conference Selections.
