Football Blanked by Peru State in Season Finale

The Culver-Stockton College football team completed the 2023 season with a 36-0 loss to Peru State College Saturday afternoon at the Oak Bowl in Peru, Neb.

The Wildcats were held to under 200 yards total offense, finishing with 173 total yards, which is the second lowest output of the season. It is the third time this season the Wildcats failed to crack 200 yards total offense. Brock C-SC rushed for 78 yards and threw for 95 yards in the game. 

Meanwhile, the Bobcats garnered 434 yards of total offense on the day, recording 223 yards passing and 211 yards on the ground.  

Brock Nellor and Tyler Danzey led the rushing attack with a combined 67 yards rushing. Nellor gained 34 yards on seven attempts, while Danzey had 33 yards on 10 carries.

Carson Vandello completed 11 of his 21 passes for 59 yards passing. Nellor was 5-for-11 for 19 yards. Slayton Ochoa finished the day with four receptions for 28 yards to lead all receivers.

The Wildcats conclude the season with a 1-10 overall record and winless in five game inside the Heart of America Athletic Conference's North Division.
