Fry, Larson Named to All-Heart Men's Basketball Team as Honorable Mention Selections

The Culver-Stockton College men's basketball team had two players recognized on the 2022-23 Heart of America Athletic Conference Men's Basketball All-Conference Team, the league announced Thursday afternoon.

Guard Robert Fry II and forward Seth Larson were each named as honorable mentions selections for their play during the 2022-23 campaign.

Fry, a 6-foot junior from Indianapolis, Ind. (Ben Davis HS), appeared in 24 of the 27 games for the Wildcats this season, making 19 starts. He averaged a team-best 13.9 points per game while shooting 42.4 percent from the field overall and 39.7 percent from the 3-point arc. Fry added 2.8 rebounds, 2.4 assists and 1.0 steals per game this season.

In addition, Fry, who was a second team pick in 2020, scored in double figures in 19 of the 24 games he played, including a season-high 22 points against Columbia (Mo.) on Nov. 11. He had four games where he scored 20 or more points this season and now has 12 such games in his career.

Larson, a 6-foot-5 sophomore from Columbia, Mo. (Hickman HS), played in all 27 games for the Wildcats this season, making nine starts. He averaged 11 points and 5.5 rebounds per game while also dishing out 1.5 assists. Larson shot 43.1 percent from the field, 41.3 percent from the 3-point line and 85.2 percent from the free throw line.

Larson scored in double figures in 15 of the 27 games played this season, including a season-high 25 points against Grand View (Iowa) on Jan. 4. He registered two double-doubles during the season, at Graceland (Iowa) on Jan. 16, and versus Clarke (Iowa) and Feb. 1.

Culver-Stockton is affiliated with the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) and is a member of the Heart of America Athletic Conference with schools located in Missouri, Kansas, Iowa and Nebraska.
