Wildcats Fall in First Road Test of the Season

The Culver-Stockton College men's basketball team suffered a 75-57 road loss at Columbia College Wednesday night at the Arena of Southwell Complex in Columbia, Mo.

The Wildcats trailed 37-27 at the intermission at making just 10 of their 28 field goal attempts in the half for 36 percent. In the second half, C-SC made one more field goal (11) on 31 attempts to finish the game at 36.6 percent overall.

Three players reached double figures in scoring for the Wildcats with Tai Walters-Whitaker registering 14 markers to lead the way. Robert Fry II added 13 points, while Quinten Blackburn contributed 11 points. The Wildcats got just two points from their bench in the game.

Whitaker-Walters and Blackburn each tallied six rebounds each to lead in that category, while Blackburn dished out a team-best three assists.

The Wildcats (1-1) is scheduled to play their second straight road contest this Saturday, Nov. 11, at Hannibal-LaGrange University in Hannibal, Mo. Game time is set for 3 p.m. at the Mabee Sports Complex.
