Men's Basketball Suffers Road Loss at Benedictine
The Culver-Stockton College men's basketball team suffered a 72-61 loss to Benedictine College in Heart of America Athletic Conference action Saturday afternoon in Atchison, Kan.
The Wildcats, who tried 40-31 at halftime, scored the first basket of the second half to cut the deficit to seven points; however, that is as close as they would come the rest of the game as the lead hovered between nine and 13 points throughout the second half.
Tai Walters-Whitaker led the Wildcats in three categories, garnering 19 points, nine rebounds and four assists. Connor Davis and Rode Dinnar came off the bench to chip in with 11 points each.
The Wildcats are scheduled to make up last Wednesday's game with Clarke University that was postponed due to the icy road conditions this Monday, Feb. 10, at Charles Field House. Game time is set for 7:30 p.m.
