Eagles Fly Past Wildcats with Big Second Half

The Culver-Stockton men's basketball team was outscored 47-28 in the second half of an 87-63 loss to Central Methodist University at Puckett Fieldhouse in Fayette, Mo., Wednesday night.

The Wildcats trailed just 40-35 at the intermission after shooting 46 percent from the field in the first half. However, the visitors went cold in the second half and mad just 26 percent of their shots while the Eagles caught fire and shot at a 58 percent clip.

Connor Davis continued his fine season with a game-high 24 points, the 14th time this season Davis has netted 20 or more points in a game. Ryan Stevenson was the only other Wildcat in double figures with 10 markers.

Alex Jackson and Jacob McGhee each pulled down seven rebounds to lead C-SC in that category, while Martez Rhodes dished out five assists and registered three steals, bot team-highs.

The Wildcats are set to end the regular season this Saturday, Feb. 22, at Missouri Valley College in Marshall, Mo. Tipoff is scheduled for 4 p.m.
