Bieri Named to Heart First Team; Sapp Recognized as Co-Coach of the Year

Culver-Stockton College men's bowler Keaten Bieri earned Heart of America Athletic Conference honors the league announced during the final day of the Heart of America Athletic Conference Championships Sunday in Topeka, Kan.

Bieri, a freshman from Letts, Iowa (Louisa-Muscatine HS), was named to the men's all-conference first team.

In addition, Wildcat Head Coach Derek Sapp was named the Men's Co-Coach of the Year with William Penn's Cameron Foster.

Bieri rolled 48 games during the regular season and led the Wildcats with a 197.40 average. He registered one victory during the season, winning the Clarke Invitational Jan. 20-21 in Dubuque, Iowa.

The Wildcats competed in the Heart Championships over the weekend.

C-SC qualified sixth on Saturday but rallied Sunday to advance to the winner's bracket final before falling to Grand View University. C-SC lost in the consolation final to William Penn and placed third in the tournament.

The men's team has qualified for the USBC Intercollegiate Team Sectionals, March 9-10 at Stardust Bowl in Addison, Ill.
