Bland Finishes Fifth at Saints Classic

Craig Bland carded an 8-over 150 to finish fifth overall to lead the Culver-Stockton men's team in the Saints Classic at Warren Golf Course in Notre Dame, Ind. Bland shot a 6-over 77 the first day before shooting 2-over 73 Tuesday. Bland finished six strokes behind medalist Jonah Kumfer of Bethel (Ind.) who shot a 2-over 144.

The men's team placed 11th overall with a two score of 669, recording a score of 339 the first day and 330 the second day. Indiana Wesleyan won the team event with a score of 616 (320-296).

Among the other Wildcat individuals, Cade Coon shot a 21-over 163 to finish tied for 31st place. Cole Williams finished in a tie for 64th place with a 36-hole total 34-over 176. Brady Walker placed 69th overall with a score of 46-over 188, while Jacob Thomas finished 71st overall with a two-day score of 49-over 191.

The men's team is slated to play in its final fall tournament Oct. 24-25 at the Heart of America Athletic Conference Preview Tournament at The Preserve at Rathbun Lake in Moravia, Iowa.
