Linksters Improve by 17 Shots on Second Day of William Woods Invitational

The Culver-Stockton men's golf team improved by 17 shots from round one to round two and finished 15th in the William Woods Spring Invitational at Tanglewood Golf Course in Fulton, Mo.

The Wildcats struggled during the first round and registered a team score of 322 after 18 holes. However, C-SC rebounded nicely in the second round, carding a 305 to finish at 627 for the tournament. Central Methodist won the event with a score of 575 (290-285).

Cade Coon and Conner Bross each tied for 26th place individually in the event. Coon, after a 10-over 82 the first day, shot the second lowest round of the day Tuesday with a 69 to finish at 7-over 151. Bross was more consistent over the two days, shooting 77-74 to also finish at 7-over 151.

Craig Bland registered scores of 78 and 76 to finish 10-over 154, tied for 50th place. Brady Walker and Cole Williams finished 85th and 87th, respectively, shooting 173 and 176. 

Jacob Thomas, playing as an individual, finished tied for 79th place with a score of 84-85-109.

C-SC is scheduled to host the Wildcat Invitational this Sunday and Monday, April 2-3, at Spring Lake Country Club in Quincy, Ill. The event is slated to tee off each day at 9 a.m.
