
Men's Soccer Suffers 3-1 Loss at Graceland
Graceland University scored twice in the second half to post a 3-1 Heart of America Athletic Conference victory over the Culver-Stockton College men's soccer team Wednesday night in Lamoni, Iowa.
The Wildcats trailed 1-0 after a Yellowjacket goal in the eighth minute. However, Ruben Reinertsen collected his sixth goal of the season in the 44th minute to send the game to the intermission tied 1-1.
Graceland struck quickly at the beginning of the second half, netting the go ahead goal 94 seconds into the period. The Yellowjackets added an insurance goal in the 87th minute to seal the victory.
C-SC was limited to two shots in the second half and was outshot 12-6 overall. Both shots in the second half were on goal. The Wildcats did force four corner kicks in the second half but Graceland held the overall edge 9-6.
The Wildcats return to action this Saturday, Sept. 21, against Baker University in Baldwin City, Kan. Kickoff is slated for 7:30 p.m.
