Men's Soccer Shutout at Baker
Baker University score a goal in each half to keep the Culver-Stockton College men's soccer team winless with a 2-0 victory Saturday night at Liston Stadium in Baldwin City, Kan.
The Wildcats managed six shots overall, three in each half, and only two C-SC shots were on frame while Baker peppered the C-SC goal with 15 shots overall and six shots on target. C-SC's Tom Freear made four saves in the game.
Baker University scored its first goal in the 16th minute of the game before adding an insurance goal in the 64th minute. The hosts had a chance to make it 3-0 but a penalty kick sailed over the crossbar.
C-SC returns home for a non-conference game this Tuesday, Sept. 24, against Oakland City University at Ellison Poulton Stadium. Game time is scheduled for 6 p.m.
