Missouri Valley scored three unanswered goals to keep the Culver-Stockton College winless with a 3-1 Heart of America Athletic Conference victory Saturday night in Marshall, Mo.
The Wildcats' Ruben Reinertsen collected his seventh goal of the season in the 30th minute to give the visitors a 1-0 lead over the 10th-ranked Vikings. Martin Quijada assisted on the goal.
That goal seemed to wake Missouri Valley up and the Vikings tied the game seven minutes later and then took the lead for good just before half time in the 44th minute.
C-SC was outshot 9-3 in the first half and 17-5 overall by the Vikings. Missouri Valley also held an 8-0 edge in corner kicks.
The Wildcats return home this Wednesday, Oct. 2, to battle Clarke University at Ellison Poulton Stadium. Game time is slated for 7:30 p.m.
