Wildcat 4x400 team set school mark, hits B standard with second place finish.

The Culver-Stockton men's track team competed at the Heart of America Athletic Conference Indoor Championships Friday and Saturday inside Hughes Fieldhouse at Northwest Missouri State University in Maryville.

The 4x400 relay team of Anthony Havens, Jr., Drew Mallett, Sean Cleary and Verlyn Johnson set a school record and hit the B standard with a time of 3:18.96 while finishing second in the event.

Johnson also earned the Wildcats points in the 200-meter dash, placing eighth with a time of 22.43 seconds. C-SC finished with nine total points in the team events and placed 13th overall.

Three other athletes competed at the event with Reid Savage placing 14th overall in the 60-meter hurdles with a time of 9.11 seconds. Leo Coradi placed 14th in the triple jump with a leap of 38 feet, 8 1/4 inches, while Devonte Jordan placed 14th in the shot put with a throw of 43 feet, 5 3/4 inches.
