
Men's Track Finishes 11th at Heart Indoor Championships
The Culver-Stockton men's track and field team had four athletes named to the all-conference team during the Wildcats' 11th finish at the Heart of America Athletic Conference Indoor Championships in Maryville, Mo.
Kenny Tucker led the Wildcat effort with a fifth place finish in the 3000-meter race walk. Tucker hit the provisional qualifying standard with a time of 15:34.08 to qualify of for the NAIA Indoor Championships.
Drew Mallett continues to impress in the heptathlon, placing fifth overall with 4,315 points. The all-conference is his first individual all-league honor and the second of his career.
Logan Lucas earned all-league honors with a school-record performance in the 5000-meter run. Lucas finished the distance in a time of 15:26.61. It is the first all-conference honor of his career.
Finally, Jabez Rivers earned all-league honors with a fifth place finish in the 60-meter hurdles. After qualifying eighth, Rivers flew down the track in a time of 8.61 seconds in the finals.
The Wildcats accumulated 15 team points overall, finishing ahead of Missouri Valley's five points. Benedictine won the team title with 133.5 points.
