Men's Volleyball Succumbs to No. 14 William Penn in Three Sets

A late charge by the Culver-Stockton men's volleyball team in the third set was enough to salvage the game in a 25-17, 25-14, 25-21 to 14th-ranked William Penn University Saturday night at Charles Field House.

After recording a negative attack percentage through the first two sets, the Wildcats turned in their best set of the night with 11 kills and just five errors on 25 attempts, a 24 percent attack percentage.

Malachi Gnade and Owen Randle combined for 15 of the 25 total kills for the Wildcats. Gnade garnered eight kills to lead the way, while Randle had seven terminations. Randle also added seven set assists while Matt Reese tallied a team-high 15 set assists.

The Wildcats return to action this Tuesday, Feb. 14, when they face the University of Health Sciences and Pharmacy at Charles Field House. Game time is slated for 7 p.m.
