Men's Volleyball Ends Heart Home Schedule with Loss to Clarke

The Culver-Stockton College men's volleyball team closed out its home conference slate with a loss to Clarke University at Charles Field House Saturday afternoon.

The Wildcats started out senior day with high enthusiasm and scored the first five points of the match against the Pride, who were playing their second road match in as many days. However, Clarke regrouped quickly and took control of the set and the match, winning 25-18, 25-11, 25-16.

Malachi Gnade posted 10 kills to lead the Wildcat attack at the net. Jacob Todd added six terminations while Charlie Schmidt and Cikeng Lee tabulated four kills. Owen Randle registered 24 set assists and two service aces.

Defensively, Aidan McGuire and Drew VonFeldt recorded six digs each for the Wildcats, wo had 21 digs in the match. Lee added five digs.

The Wildcats (3-21, 1-16 Heart) close out Heart of America Athletic Conference play Tuesday night with a road match at nationally-ranked Park University. Game time is slated for 7 p.m. in Parkville, Mo.
