Wildcat Netters Suffer Road Setback at Mount Mercy

The Culver-Stockton College men's volleyball team went winless in its two-day, two match trip to Clarke and Mount Mercy in Heart of America Athletic Conference action Friday and Saturday.

Less than 24 hours after losing in three sets to Clarke University in Dubuque, Iowa, the Wildcats failed to win a set in a 25-16, 25-18, 25-18 loss to 15th-ranked Mount Mercy University Saturday afternoon in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.

Zach Kowalewicz continues to play well offensively, registering a team-best 11 kills against the Mustangs. Kowalewicz also had five digs and a solo block.

Malachi Gnade recorded six kills while Jacob Todd, who had seven kills Friday against Clarke, was held to four kills Saturday. Owen Randle dished out 21 set assists while Cikeng Lee had a team-high six digs and three service aces.

The Wildcats will stay on the road and travel to St. Louis, Mo., Tuesday night, March 5, for a triangular at Missouri Baptist University. C-SC is slated to play Brecia (Ky.) at 5 p.m. and Missouri Baptist at 7 p.m.
