Spikers Drop Matches to Clarke, Mount Mercy on Easter Weekend

The Culver-Stockton College men's volleyball team lost two Heart of America Athletic Conference matches over the weekend, falling to Clarke (Iowa) and Mount Mercy (Iowa) in three sets at Charles Field House Friday and Saturday, respectively.

On Saturday, C-SC welcomed Mount Mercy to Charles Field House and the Mustangs took care of business by winning 25-12, 25-16, 25-16.

Malachi Gnade was the top hitter for the Wildcats in the two matches, registering 18 total kills, including 12 in the setback to Mount Mercy. Zach Kowalewicz totaled 11 kills in the two matches, while Aaron Jurenka had nine terminations.

The Wildcats are scheduled to close out their home slate this Tuesday, April 2, with a match against Missouri Baptist University at Charles Field House. First serve is set for 6 p.m.
