Wildcats Celebrate Senior Day with Sweep of Clarke

The Culver-Stockton College men's volleyball team celebrated senior day with a sweep of Clarke University at Charles Field House Saturday afternoon in Canton, Mo.

The victory was the first at home this season and snapped a 16-match home losing streak dating back to last season. The Wildcats finished with a 1-11 record on the home hardwood this season.

C-SC had a very balanced offensive attack as four different players had seven or more kills in the 25-16, 25-22, 25-23 victory. Clyde Harold led the offense with 10 terminations on 18 attempts. He garnered just two attack errors for .444 hitting percentage.

Overall, the Wildcats had a season-high .345 success rate on attacks, totaling 42 kills on 87 attempts and just 12 errors. Rio Victor hit at a .333 clip with nine kills on 18 attempts with just three errors. Middle hitter Zach Kowalewicz had an attack percentage of .455 with just two errors on 11 attempts and seven kills. Henry Reeves registered eight kills, including the game-winner.

Matt Reese and lone senior Owen Randle combined for 34 of the 39 set assists in the match. Reese tallied 19 while Randle dished out 15, giving him 1,862 career assists, which is second in program history.

The Wildcats are scheduled to play this Monday, April 7, at third-ranked Missouri Valley College in Marshall, Mo. Game time is slated for 7 p.m. in Marshall, Mo.
