
Men's Cross Country Finishes 18th at Seminole Valley Stampede
The Culver-Stockton College men's cross country team returned to action after a three-week absence and placed 18th in the 19-team field at the Seminole Valley Stampede hosted by Mount Mercy University Saturday morning in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
The Wildcats, running their first 8-kilometer race of the season, finished with an overall team time of 2:26:14 and registered 478 points. Aquinas (Mich.) finished in a time of 2:06:02 to win the event with 45 points.
Individually, Logan Lucas placed 39th overall with a time of 26:11.0 and was the top C-SC runner to finish.
The next three Wildcat runners finished 152nd, 153rd and 154th overall in the field of 212 runners. In order, Jailan Reynaga finished in a time of 29:15.8, Kile Dowd recorded a time of 29:18,9, and Gannon McNamee finished in a time of 29:19.2.
The fifth C-SC runner to finish was Kenny Tucker, who placed 196th overall with a time of 32:09.1. Chase Lake garnered a time of 32:54.1 to place 201st overall, while Blake Thompson ran 35:30.6 to finish 208th overall.
The Wildcats are back at it next Friday, Oct. 11, at the Indian Hills Invitational in Ottumwa, Iowa. The men's race is slated to begin at 4:45 p.m.
