Hunt, Harrison Named to Heart All-Conference Second Team

The Culver-Stockton College softball team placed two players on the Heart of America Athletic Conference All-Conference Softball Team, the league announced Friday.

Outfielder Kataleena Hunt and designated player Aspyn Harrison have each been named to the second team for their play during the 2024 season.

Hunt, a sophomore from Williamsfield, Ill. (Williamsfield HS), was second on the team with a .344 batting average, collecting 45 hits in 131 at-bats. She recorded 15 doubles, which was the second-most in the Heart, one triple, and three home runs. Hunt tied Harrison for most runs scored team honors with 23, and had 25 runs batted in. She registered nine multiple hit games and a team-high seven multiple RBI games during the season. In addition, Hunt had recorded an eight game hitting streak and a nine-game on-base streak during the season.

Harrison, a senior from Shelby, Neb. (Shelby-Rising HS / Iowa Wesleyan), hit a team-best .398 in her only season for the Wildcats after transferring from Iowa Wesleyan. The batting average was ranked sixth in the Heart during the regular season. Among her team-high 49 hits, Harrison had nine doubles, one triple and one home run. She had a team-high 15 multiple hit games and four multiple RBI games. Harrison scored 23 runs and had 14 runs batted in.

Against Heart opponents, Harrison batted .417, which was fifth best in the league, collecting 25 hits in 60 at-bats. She recorded six doubles, one triple and one home run in her 22 games against league foes.

The Wildcats concluded the 2024 season with an 18-32 overall record and a 7-17 mark in the Heart of America Athletic Conference.
