Eleven Wildcat Softball Players Named Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athletes

The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) released the 2024 Daktronics NAIA Softball Scholar-Athletes on Wednesday. Central Methodist (Mo.), Embry-Riddle (Ariz.), Madonna (Mich.), and Pikeville (Ky.) all led the way with 16 honorees. Grand View (Iowa), Briar Cliff (Iowa), and Cornerstone (Mich.) finished a close second with 15.

Culver-Stockton College had 11 players named to the list. Leading that list was Penny Ruiz, who was named to the list for the second straight year. Also named were Allison SadlerBrylee Throgmorton, Faith McCoskey, Gracie Rehmert, Hunter Huddle, Kamryn Biggs, Payton Todd, Rosa Anguiano, Selina Guzman and Shelby Daniels

The 2024 list features 1,250 student-athletes who achieved at least a 3.5 cumulative grade point average (GPA) at their institution. In order to be nominated by an institution's head coach or sports information director, a student-athlete must maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale, must appear on the eligibility certificate for the sport, and have attended one full year at said institution.
