Shooters Conclude Season atr Lindenwood Spring Open

The Culver-Stockton shotgun sports team participated at the Lindenwood Spring Open Feb. 25-26 in St. Charles, Mo.

Lawren Ruths finished 22nd overall in the women's competition with a score of 237 targets hit out of 300 overall targets. Ruths connected with 93 out of the 100 in trap; 82 out of 100 in skeet; and 62 out of 100 in sporting clays.

In men's action, James Stutheit and William Owens participated for the men's side. Stutheit placed 91st overall with 242 targets hit while Owens finished 104th overall with 231 targets hit.

Stutheit's best score came in the skeet where he hit 86 of the 100 targets, and the trap where he hit 85 of the 100 targets. Stutheit hit 71 of the targets in sporting clays. Meanwhile, Owens' best mark also came in the skeet when he connected with 82 of the 100 targets. Owens hit 78 targets in trap, and 71 targets in sporting clays.
