Three Wildcats Named to All-Heart Women's Basketball Team

Three Culver-Stockton College women's basketball players earned All-Heart of America Athletic Conference honors following the 2024-25 season, the league announced Friday.

Guard Avery Oetting and forward Katie Webb were named to the All-Heart of America Athletic Conference Women's Basketball second team, while guard Misora Nambara was a third team selection for her play during the 2024-25 campaign.

Oetting, a junior from Hallsville, Mo. (Hallsville HS), averaged a team-best 14.7 points per game, which was tied for 10th in the Heart overall. She shot 39.9 percent from the field overall but was at 36.2 percent from beyond the 3-point arc, which was 10th in the league. Oetting was third in the Heart in free throw shooting, connecting on 84.5 percent (82-97) of her attempts.

In addition to her shooting, Oetting also grabbed 5.2 rebounds, dished out 2.9 assists and led the league with 2.7 steals per game. Oetting registered a conference-best 76 steals during the regular season. Oetting topped the 1,000-point plateau this season and currently has 1,036 career points, which is 22nd on the school's all-time list. This is the third straight year Oetting has been recognized by the conference. She earned honorable mention accolades in her first two seasons and was named the freshman of the year in 2023.

Webb, a senior from Benton, Mo. (Oran HS), averaged 12.7 points and 6.2 rebounds while starting all 29 games this season. Webb led the Heart in 3-point shooting, connecting on 45.2 percent (33-73) of her attempts, and she was 10th in field goal shooting overall, registering a percentage of 48.7 percent (135-277). She was a very good free throw shooter this season, draining 74.2 percent of her attempts. Webb also eclipsed the 1,000-point milestone this season and finished her career with 1,088 career points, which is ranked 18th on the all-time list.   

Nambara, a freshman from Battlefield, Mo. (Republic HS), started all 29 games played by the Wildcats this season, averaging 12.3 points, 3.3 rebounds and a team-high 3.9 assists per game, which was sixth in the conference. She shot 42.2 percent (136-322) from the field and 85.7 percent (48-56) from the foul line.
