Bio
Makayla Wallace enters her first season as an assistant coach with the Wildcat women's basketball program in 2024-25.
Wallace comes to Culver-Stockton after completing her collegiate career during the 2023-24 season at Lindenwood University in St. Charles, Mo.
Wallace helped Kirkwood (Mo.) High School to back-to-back Missouri Class 5 Girls Basketball State Championships in 2017 and 2018 before heading off to the University of Evansville where she appeared in 30 games, including 20 starts, as a freshman. During her freshman season, Wallace averaged 6.3 points, 2.4 rebounds and 2.3 assists per game. The following year Wallace appeared in 26 games and averaged 4.6 points per game.
After two years at Evansville, Wallace moved to the University of North Dakota where she played in five games of the Covid-shortened season of 2020-21. Wallace missed her entire senior season at North Dakota due to injury before finishing her career at Lindenwood.
During her first season in St. Charles, Wallace played in 24 games, averaging 3.7 points and 1.9 assists per game. Last season, Wallace appeared and started in all 28 games for the Lions, averaging 7.3 points, 3.0 assists, 1.9 rebounds, as well as 2.6 steals per game in 26 minutes per game. Wallace scored a season-high 16 points, going a perfect 7-for-7 from the field in a win over Southeast Missouri on January 30.
Wallace set the Lindenwood single season record for steals, surpassing the old record of 60 with a five-steal game against Southern Illinois-Edwardsville on February 15th and finishing with 72 steals on the season, including a career-high seven-steal effort in a double overtime win against Tennessee State.
